Lasagna was originally painted on a 48x60in Canvas with Acrylic Paint, along with added crystals on the jewelry and crown. With the added gold frame, the original painting is size 58x70in!
This painting serves tribute to the legendary Hip Hop artist Dwayne Micheal Carter Jr, aka Lil Wayne.
It's called Lasagna, not only because of Wayne's iconic rap verse in the track "6ft 7ft" that says "Real G's move in silence like Lasagna", but because of the many layers he and I both share. Not only within our respective crafts, but in our mindsets as well.
There are many layers to peel back in this paining, literally and figuratively. I'll leave that up to you to discover.
