EYE ONCE WAS BLIND
Acrylic on canvas, 36" x 48" — 2020
by Justin Michael Wadlington
Enter Eye Once Was Blind, a self-portrait rooted in a personal tattoo that reads "In the land of the blind, the man with one eye is the king." The piece speaks to self-elevation and transformation, layered with small details and hidden meanings that took five months to complete. It's meant to be a mirror as much as a portrait — an invitation to see yourself in the artist's place on the journey to becoming your best self.
Eye Once Was Blind is a conversation piece for any space, revealing something new the longer you look.
Giclée print, gallery-wrapped canvas, framed over 1.5" wood. Made in USA. Hand signed and dated by artist Justin Michael Wadlington.
