Money and Fame is a hyperrealistic painting of a folded hundred-dollar bill, rendered in careful detail down to Benjamin Franklin's portrait and the blue security ribbon woven through the note. Wadlington intentionally folded the bill to reveal a single visible eye — a signature touch that runs through much of his work. The crumpled folds catch light and shadow across the canvas, giving the illusion of real currency resting in space. Look closely and more hidden messages reveal themselves.
